NVIDIA is giving away Black Ops Cold War for free with purchases of RTX 3080 or 3090

If you’re looking to pick up Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War on PC, you can actually get a copy for free with the purchase of some of NVIDIA’s newest RTX 3080 or 3090 graphics cards - here’s how.

The highly anticipated GeForce GPU’s from NVIDIA hit the shelves last month, with the newest 30 series expected to be some of the best GPU’s ever produced. The announcement follows shortly after the launch of Watch Dogs: Legion, which was the previous game that selec RTX cards were bundled with.

It should be noted that the RTX 30 series has been extremely popular since its become available for purchase and therefore, stock has been limited. It is not easy to get your hands on one of these bad boys and the model you desire may not necessarily offer the bundle with Cold War, so be sure to check NVIDIA’s website for availability and offers.

It’s reported that the copy of the game included with the bundle is the standard edition Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War for PC. This edition comes with a special code, which may be redeemed to access the Woods Operator Bundle for Modern Warfare & Warzone and the Confrontation Weapons Pack for Cold War.

For those existing Call of Duty players for PC, those looking to purchase any of the GPU’s from the 30 series or those looking to build/upgrade PC’s, this could be a dream deal for you and an excellent way to immerse yourself in the premium video gaming experience that are offered by NVIDIA’s top of the range graphics cards.

The prices for the RTX 3080 range start at roughly $846 and the 3090 range from around $1,823. Once you have purchased one of the selected GPU’s that includes the promotional offer, follow these steps to redeem your copy of Black Ops Cold war for free:

1. Install your qualified graphics card.
2. Update or install the latest version of GeForce Experience (Version 3.18 or higher).
3. Open and log in (or register) to GeForce Experience.
4. Go to the Account drop-down menu in the top-right and select “REDEEM”.
5. Enter your bundle code from your qualifying bundle purchase.
6. Follow the remaining instructions on screen to sign in through or create your Battle.net account.
7. Select “REDEEM” to redeem Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War to your Battle.net account.
8. Select “LAUNCH BATTLE.NET” to complete redemption and begin installation.

NVIDIA states that the new GPU’s ‘groundbreaking AI rendering technology that takes your visual fidelity to a whole new level’, delivering maximum quality and frames per second powered by the RTX 30’s Tensor Core AI processors.

NVIDIA Reflex technology also promises to deliver the ‘ultimate competitive advantage, the lowest latency and the best responsiveness’. Specifically for first-person shooter games like Call of Duty, the GPU’s should allow the player to ‘Acquire targets faster, react quicker, and increase aim precision’; music to the ears of FPS players like me.

To ensure you get your free copy of Cold War in time, you will need to make your purchase before December 10, 2020, after which the offer is no longer valid. It’s also worth noting that it could take up to 14 days for your Cold War code to get to you.
